About the Role:

• Lead and manage the History department, providing strategic direction and inspiring excellence in History education.
• Oversee the delivery of a high-quality History curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring it is engaging and relevant.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of talented History teachers, supporting their professional growth.
• Organize extracurricular activities, including debating societies, history clubs, and trips.
• Foster a love of History in students, encouraging exploration, research, and appreciation of its importance.
• Manage the department's budget and resources effectively.
• Build strong relationships with parents, external examiners, and the school community.
• Contribute to the school's strategic development and promote the value of History education.

• Holds QTS or equivalent qualification.
