We are seeking an exceptional Head of History to lead and inspire our talented team of teachers and students in a prestigious independent girls' school in Kensington. This full-time, permanent position begins in September 2025.

About the Role:
- Lead and manage the History department, providing strategic direction and inspiring excellence in History education.
- Oversee the delivery of a high-quality History curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring it is engaging and relevant.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of talented History teachers, supporting their professional growth.
- Organize extracurricular activities, including debating societies, history clubs, and trips.
- Foster a love of History in students, encouraging exploration, research, and appreciation of its importance.
- Manage the department's budget and resources effectively.
- Build strong relationships with parents, external examiners, and the school community.
- Contribute to the school's strategic development and promote the value of History education.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent qualification.
- Possesses a degree in History or related field.
- Has successful leadership experience in a History education setting.
- Demonstrates passion for History and student success.
- Exhibits excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Builds rapport effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Understands the National Curriculum and exam specifications for History.
