The Change Partners are collaborating with an iconic Brand within the freight commercial sector, seeking to appoint a Head of Key Accounts UK&I.

This pivotal role involves orchestrating the European-wide sales strategy within the UK and Irish markets. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving strong partnerships with existing accounts, growing freight revenue, optimising yield, and maximising volume in alignment with the annual financial objectives of the commercial division.

Please note this role is remote with occasional travel.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing and executing the pan-European sales strategy for major accounts across the UK and Ireland to meet defined commercial targets and budgetary commitments.
• Formulating and recommending annual sales forecasts and budgets for revenue, yield, and volume, and overseeing their implementation upon approval.
• Orchestrating and leading site visits, including planning and resource allocation.
• Proactive management of credit exposure in adherence to company guidelines, with a focus on minimising bad debt.
• Diligently tracking sales performance and proposing corrective actions for underperformance or capitalising on emerging market opportunities.
• Ensuring rigorous compliance with all established company protocols, encompassing client onboarding procedures, credit risk oversight, contractual and pricing agreements, expense reporting, and competitor interaction guidelines.
• Cultivating growth in sales for ancillary services and products offered by the group.

Candidate profile:

• A minimum of 7 years' experience in key account management is required within a freight/cargo environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading high-stakes sales negotiations with significant corporate clients.
• Ideally, experience working with European teams.
• Fluent English is mandatory, with a good comprehension of French is ideal.
