Ada Mode has enjoyed success with establishing its position in the market and diversifying its client base. We are now seeking a bold, technically credible, and commercially astute Head of Nuclear to lead and grow our presence across the UK and international civil nuclear sector. From predictive maintenance and workforce optimisation to AI-assisted safety tools, you’ll shape how cutting-edge digital technologies can drive safer, smarter, and more sustainable nuclear operations. You'll also play a strategic leadership role—guiding delivery, influencing stakeholders, and building Ada Mode’s voice across the sector. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, AI, safety, and trust.

The Role:

• A senior role, it will require close working with the founder team to define, execute and monitor our civil nuclear business strategy aligned to Ada Mode’s AI and digital capabilities.
• Build and deepen customer relationships in nuclear generation, nuclear new build, nuclear fuel, decommissioning, SMRs, Fusion and new nuclear technology.
• Oversight of existing nuclear projects to ensure high quality, consistency and development opportunity
• Oversee new nuclear projects ensuring digital tools integrate with legacy systems, meet regulatory requirements, and support operator trust.

Support growth of the Ada Mode brand in civil nuclear in international markets

• Shape commercial opportunities—from proof-of-concept to scalable deployments.
• Partner with internal technical, AI, and UX teams to ensure nuclear-specific tools are intuitive, explainable, and fit-for-purpose.
• Represent Ada Mode at industry events, working groups, and strategy forums.

Experience and Skills

Experienced, technical nuclear professional with diverse leadership experience across the nuclear lifecycle and ideally across multiple technologies. Must have a good understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analysis and their application to civil nuclear challenges. Able to establish, maintain and grow professional relationships with other senior nuclear leaders.

Experience

• 10+ years in the civil nuclear sector (e.g., operations, engineering, safety case, digital transformation).
• Strong network across nuclear operators, technology developers, regulators supply chain.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering or leading digital or AI-enabled projects.
• Familiarity with nuclear standards, licensing, and procurement practices.
• Track record in stakeholder engagement and complex procurement environments.

Skills

• Engineering, operations or digital background in civil nuclear
• Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market trends and opportunities and reach new clients.
• Experience in building long term strategic client relationships, understanding client needs and expectations, and developing personalised solutions or value propositions.
• Have a good understanding of the wider business operations, i.e. forecasting, reporting, sales, marketing, and financial management.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to clients and stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
