This position will suit an experienced energy policy professional who understands how to influence at senior level and translate complex regulatory frameworks into clear commercial strategy.The RoleReporting into the Senior Leadership Team, you will:Lead the organisation’s UK policy and regulatory strategyMonitor and influence developments across hydrogen, gas networks, storage, CCUS and system resilienceAdvise the SLT and Board on policy risk, opportunity and strategic positioningCoordinate consultation responses and regulatory submissionsAct as lead interface with government departments, regulators, system operators, MPs and industry bodiesShape external narrative in collaboration with communications teamsRepresent the organisation at external forums and industry eventsThis is a visible role internally and externally, requiring credibility, strategic thinking and strong stakeholder management capability.About You - We are looking for someone who brings:Significant experience in energy policy, regulatory affairs, public affairs or external affairsStrong knowledge of the UK energy system, particularly gas, hydrogen or infrastructure regulationExperience engaging with senior policymakers and regulatorsAbility to interpret complex policy and provide commercially grounded adviceExcellent written communication skills (consultation responses, briefings, submissions) Desirable:Experience in hydrogen policy or low carbon infrastructureExposure to regulated frameworks and price control environmentsEstablished networks across UK energy policy and regulatory communitiesWhat’s On Offer£70,000 – £85,000 depending on experiencePerformance-related bonusFull flexible benefits packagePermanent, full-time position (40 hours per week)Leeds based (office based role)This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping national energy policy while influencing strategic direction within a growing infrastructure business. xwzovoh If you would like a confidential discussion before applying, please get in touch today.
