Title: Head of Procurement Sector: Retail Location: Remote (occassional travel to sites across the UK) Salary & Package: Competitive base salary (DOE) + bonus + car allowance Reporting into the Procurement Director, this role will take full ownership of the indirect procurement strategy across a large and diverse spend portfolio. Managing a small team, the successful candidate will deliver value, efficiency, governance, and supplier performance, positioning procurement as a true strategic partner to the wider business. They are looking for a senior procurement leader with strong experience across indirect/GNFR categories who can combine strategic vision with hands‑on delivery and thrive in an autonomous, evolving environment. Experience in a greenfield environment would be beneficial! Role & Responsibilities

Develop and deliver the indirect procurement strategy, aligned to business objectives. Lead a full review of current procurement practices, identifying opportunities to improve. Own end-to-end procurement activity across indirect categories, including sourcing strategy, tendering, negotiation, contract award, and supplier management. Implement procurement policies, frameworks, and governance to ensure best practice and compliance across the organisation. Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and ongoing supplier relationship management (SRM), driving performance, innovation, and sustainability.

Experience & Requirements

Proven experience in a senior procurement leadership role, with a strong focus on indirect/GNFR categories. Demonstrable track record of delivering cost optimisation and commercial value within a complex, multi site organisation. Strong understanding of procurement best practice, governance, and commercial/contractual frameworks. Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to operate at senior leadership level.
