How you will Energise Our Team
As Head of Sales, you will lead and grow an established internal sales team based in our Bicester office. As a growing energy company, this team is crucial to retaining our current customer base. You will also be responsible for the relationship and performance of our sales channel in a BPO.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Leading, managing and growing the sales team by driving and increasing current sales numbers
Developing and optimising sales processes, systems, and customer journeys
Coaching, mentoring, and supporting Sales Executives, structured training and performance feedback to maximise capability, quality, and sales outcomes
Producing regular reporting for senior management on performance, forecasts, pipeline activity, and operational effectiveness, ensuring visibility of key trends, risks, and opportunities
Presenting and contributing to the monthly strategic sales meetings
Working closely with senior leadership on resource planning, recruitment, onboarding, and workload allocation to ensure the team is structured and equipped for success
Fostering a strong “one team” culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, while managing staff matters in line with company policies
Ensuring full compliance with relevant energy industry regulations, including Ofgem requirements, and supporting the company’s digital-first strategy while maintaining the highest standards of service and sales integrity
Reporting directly to the Sales Director and supporting sales performance analysis
Occasional travel abroad to our BPO
The Spark we're Looking For
Proven sales management experience with a strong record of managing, motivating, and developing teams, ideally within the utilities or energy sector
You will need to be a charismatic, motivational sales leader with the ability to drive performance day to day
A clear track record of driving sales delivering consistent commercial performance in call centre or high-volume, customer-facing environments
Advanced performance management capability, with the ability to define strategic goals, translate them into practical plans, track progress through data-led insight, and coach teams to exceed expectations
A proactive process improvement mindset, experienced in developing, implementing, and refining sales processes and systems to drive efficiency, quality, and sustainable growth
Excellent people leadership skills, with a natural ability to influence, and inspire teams while embedding accountability and a strong focus on sales outcomes
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, able to prioritise effectively and resolve complex operational challenges at pace
Resilient, driven, and highly motivated, thriving in fast-moving, target-driven environments with a positive and solutions-focused approach
