Exciting Opportunity: Health and Safety Advisor in Northern Ireland
Join our client, a reputable organisation committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance within the construction industry. This is a permanent role based in the heart of Northern Ireland.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with UK standards and regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to ensure ongoing safety compliance across multiple construction sites.
Provide expert advice and support to project teams on safety matters to minimise risks and promote a safety-first culture.
Investigate accidents or incidents and compile detailed reports outlining causes and preventative measures.
Deliver safety training sessions and inductions to staff and contractors.
Ensure all health and safety documentation is maintained accurately and up to date.
Liaise with external regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
Keep abreast of industry best practices and legislative changes relevant to construction health and safety.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor within the construction sector.
Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and standards.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to conduct site inspections and risk assessments effectively.
Proactive approach to safety management and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to travel between sites within Northern Ireland as required
