With work spanning water, energy, defence, and infrastructure sectors, this is your opportunity to make a real impact where safety truly matters.The RoleAs a Health & Safety Advisor, youll be at the heart of site operationsproviding hands-on, practical SHE support across multiple projects. This is a predominantly site-based role (approx. 85%), working closely with operational teams to ensure safe delivery from planning through to completion.What Youll Be DoingDelivering expert SHE advice in line with UK legislation and best practiceConducting site inspections, audits, and safety observationsSupporting risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of workLeading or assisting incident investigations and root cause analysisDriving compliance with CDM Regulations and HSE requirementsEngaging site teams through toolbox talks, briefings, and trainingSupporting project mobilisation, inductions, and site setupMonitoring subcontractor compliance and performancePromoting a proactive, positive safety culture across sitesWhat Were Looking ForNEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Level 3)Experience in construction, engineering, utilities, water, or energy sectorsStrong knowledge of UK health & safety legislationProven ability to carry out audits, inspections, and incident investigationsConfident communicator with the ability to influence at all levelsExperience working across multiple sites/projectsDesirable:NEBOSH Construction CertificateIOSH membership (TechIOSH / working towards CertIOSH)Experience in water, wastewater, energy, or renewablesKnowledge of ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 systemsWhats in It for YouCompetitive salaryCompany car or car allowance24 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (rising with service)Buy additional leave via salary sacrificeCompany pension schemePaid professional membership (1 per year)Employee Assistance ProgrammeFree parkingWhy Join Trant?At Trant Engineering Ltd, safety isnt just a requirementits a core value.
