Healthcare Supervisor

Jobstore are seeking a dedicated DBS Domestic Healthcare Supervisor to provide high-quality cleaning, to patients, staff, and visitors, maintaining a clean and safe environment, in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with the specification. These duties may be carried out, both in patient and non-patient environments working between two shift patterns Monday - Friday 06:0014:00 and 14:0022:00.

To provide direction, guidance, and support to ensure the necessary duties are carried out to maintain a clean and hygienic environment within the hospital and associated areas.

You will perform these duties in a professional manner and strive to exceed customer expectations.

Duties

To ensure that all cleaning tasks are carried out in accordance with NHS Cleaning standards or equivalent.
To ensure the provision of adequate personnel cover at all times in line with the contract specifications and budget.
To maintain all employee attendance records for Holidays and sickness and ensure staff report for duty at the correct times and breaks are adhered to.
To Authorise time sheets and any overtime worked in agreement with the Domestic Manager.
To apply quality control procedures to ensure that the standards of cleanliness comply with the contract requirements.
Ability to work as part of a team, but also to work using your own initiative.
Ability to manage your own time and prioritise your own workload.
Daily liaison with departmental leads on all service-related issues to ensure the best possible service delivery to the Trust.
To carry out inductions, training/refresher training and job chats.
To be courteous to staff, visitors, service users and team members.
Ensure that all of your team are working safely and in line with all health and safety procedures. You must ensure that all adverse events and near misses are reported in accordance with the company procedure.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

IT literacy skills including email required.
Good organisational skills
Good level of verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Punctuality, attendance and a positive can do attitude
Customer focused
Strong motivation and team building skills

NVQ level 2 desirable but not essential
Previous experience in a housekeeping role.
Previous experience of Health & Safety in a hospital environment.
Previous experience of working within a service industry.
Proof of Hep B vaccination, which can be obtain from doctor's surgery.
