HGV Class 1 Driver Suffolk

We are currently recruiting reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our growing transport operation based in Suffolk. This is a Sunday - Thursday role, offering consistent work with occasional nights out, delivering a variety of loads to customer sites across the UK.

This position is ideal for an experienced Class 1 driver who takes pride in safe driving, punctual deliveries, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport goods between locations

Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and safe handling techniques

Ensure all loads are correctly secured, with particular attention to flatbed securement

Comply with all road traffic laws, tachograph rules, and company policies

Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical defects

Perform basic vehicle maintenance and housekeeping

Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules

Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with a clean driving record

Proven experience as a Class 1 driver or in a similar driving role

Good working knowledge of flatbed operations and load restraint techniques
