Main features Weekend work available but not compulsory (paid extra). Fixed Monday to Friday dayshift of 10hrs - nights out not required. Salary pay. Paid monthly on the last Fri of the month. Dedicated Transport Planner and single point of contact for the driver. Dedicated own modern, high spec vehicle and trailers(s). Dedicated parking space in the Felixstowe depot. PPE and Company uniform provided. PDA provided. National fuel card provided. Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role: Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card Proven experience in container transport and port operations (Felixstowe experience desirable) RHIDES card A strong focus on safety and compliance Ability to work independently and take responsibility Good communication skills Basic computer literacy Key duties & Responsibilities: Transporting freight containers to and from Port of Felixstowe to Simarco consignees. Completing direct container and trailer deliveries Conducting daily vehicle and trailer checks, ensuring roadworthiness at all times Accurately completing pre-drive inspection reports Ensuring loads are distributed safely and legally Driving responsibly with consideration for other road users and the public Maintaining your vehicle to a clean and professional standard Following all Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations Adhering to Company Health & Safety procedures and site safety rules Wearing appropriate PPE and reporting any accidents or near misses If you're a reliable, safety-conscious driver ready for your next challenge, wed love to hear from you.
