People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver based in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine room to grow and progress.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday   • AM or PM starts   • Weekend overtime available
Rates of Pay
• £16.84 – £35.94 per hour   • All breaks paid

Rates of Pay – Breakdown
AM Shifts
• Basic rate: £16.83 per hour   • Overtime after 9 hours: £21.05 per hour   • Overtime on sixth shift: £33.68 per hour
PM Shifts
• Basic rate: £17.97 per hour   • Overtime after 9 hours: £22.46 per hour   • Overtime on sixth shift: £35.94 per hour
Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Completing RDC or brewery deliveries with no handball (curtain-side work)   • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections   • Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly   • Adhering to road traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
• A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence   • A minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience   • No more than six penalty points (minor infringements only)   • A valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card   • Good spoken and written English
Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial driving experience   • Brewery delivery experience (advantageous but not essential)
Training Provided
• Drivers must pass an assessment followed by a one-day paid induction   • Industry-related training and ongoing support provided
