HGV Class 1 Driver – Immediate Start

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Calder. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and immediate starts.

Shifts
  •  4 days per week
  •  10-hour shifts

Rates of Pay
  •  £16.95 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
  •  Store deliveries, pick-up and drop-off runs
  •  Delivering to stores using cages (pulling cages to the back door)
  •  Carrying out vehicle walk-round checks
  •  Reporting vehicle defects in line with company procedures
  •  Driving in compliance with UK road traffic laws and regulations
  •  Communicating effectively with the transport team

Essential Skills
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need to:
  •  Hold a valid UK Category CE driving licence
  •  Have a valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
  •  Be punctual with excellent time-keeping skills
  •  Have a solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  •  Demonstrate effective communication skills

Desirable Experience
  •  Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience

Training Provided
  •  Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
