HGV Class 1 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Glasgow area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join the team.
Shifts: Shifts across Monday to Sunday (weekends included on a rota basis)
Hours : Days and Nights
Pay Rate:
Days - £18.00 per hour PAYE
Nights - £18.00 per hour PAYE
Location: Glasgow, G32
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
Working set shifts with a rota planned in advance, weekends included and required
Securely moving and transporting premium and high value goods (parcels) to sub-depots or collecting them from delivery units (either working on bulk collections/deliveries or trunking)
Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork throughout shift.
Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
Minimum of 6 months experience required.
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
Excellent communication skills.
A safety-first mindset.
