HGV Class 1 Driver - afternoon shiftsPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich.This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.Shifts:Thursday - Monday: start times between 14:00-17:00Rates of Pay: Basic: £17.20 per hour and after 20:00 is paid at £20.00 per hourSunday : £22.00 per hourBank Holiday: £31.73 per hour Benefits:Your benefits as a HGV Class 1 Driver are: Excellent Hourly RatesOngoing WorkWeekly PayOnsite CanteenTraining ProvidedImmediate StartsEmployee Well-being Program Day to Day Duties:Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will be: RDC or Brewery Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side)Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locationsPerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsEnsure all cargo is loaded and secured properlyAdhere to traffic laws and regulationsCommunicate effectively with dispatch and customersReport any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to managementAssist with loaded and unloading of cargo as neededDeliver cage to DCs and supermarkets Up to 2 drops per shift Essential Skills:As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehiclesNo more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi CardMust be able to speak and read a good level of EnglishPunctuality and excellent time keeping skillsHave a good understanding of traffic laws and regulationsEffective communication skills Desirable Experience: Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficialPrevious experience with multi drop deliveries Training Driver's Assessment must have to be completedIndustry related training provided and ongoing support throughout Apply: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below People Solutions do not charge any of their candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process JBRP1_UKTJ
