The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting Class 1 (C&E Drivers) on behalf of EVRi Hub, Barnsley. Hours:Choose your own days of work and start times by providing a 2-hour window from 10PM - 2AM.
While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required. Please note you must be able to provide availability on a Friday, Saturday OR Sunday (This does not mean you will be working one of these days every week). Pay Rates: (PAYE 6AM onwards):Monday to Friday £16.21, Saturday £17.87 & Sunday £18.20 (PAYE 2PM onwards):Monday to Friday £16.87, Saturday £18.29, Sunday £18.61 (PAYE 10PM onwards):Monday to Friday £17.59, Saturday £20.69 & Sunday £21.96 PAYE Location:Barnsley, S74. Job Type: Ongoing. The role: Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels. Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards. Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road. Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Requirements: 1 years' experience required. However, we do have other opportunities for drivers with limited experience. Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E). Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.
