Benefits As a Shunter Driver you will receive the following benefits: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Training provided Immediate starts Rates of Pay: AM SHIFT PAID: £19.23PH PM SHIFT: 14:30 to 23:00 Day to Day Duties Your duties as a Class 1 Shunter Driver will involve but not be limited to: Shunting of 45ft and double deck trailers onto allocated bays. Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Daily yard checks following site rules, health & safety guidelines Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Essential Skills As a Shunter Driver you will need to: Minimum of one year driving, shunting and TUG experience. Valid UK Category C+E Licence No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Excellent communication as they will be communicating with both Transport and warehouse, using a radio is essential to the role.
