The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-known and established general haulage business based in Alfreton. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join the team.

Start Times: 5am on average but can be earlier or later dependent on route plans.

Location: Alfreton, DE55

Job Type: Ongoing work / Temp to Perm opportunities available

Pay Rates:

Class 1 (C+E):

£15.40 per hour (PAYE)

£17.26 per hour (including rolled up holiday pay)

Additional Payments:

£25 Night Out Allowance (applicable to all drivers completing nights out / tramping)

The Role:

General haulage work across commercial and residential deliveries

Operating curtainsider vehicles

Vehicles are pre-loaded on arrival to site

Assisting with offloading where required

Minimal handball involved overall

Occasional use of pallet truck and tail lift

Nationwide deliveries and collections

Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time

Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

Minimum 1 year driving experience required

Maximum 6 points for minor offences only

Valid CPC and Digi Card

Good understanding of driver hours and regulations

Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
