HGV Class 2 Day Driver

Overview We are recruiting a HGV 2 driver to join a small, experienced team working for a worldwide distribution client based in Southampton. All deliveries will be on pallets and drivers will be completing between 5-8 drops per day with the role being job and finish. Duties Working 40hrs per week Monday-Friday with 1x weekend day every other week. Start time will be 4am Load and unload cargo, ensuring that goods are secured properly for transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by the company. On occasion you will be required to drive 3.5t & 7.5t vehicles but paid at the same rate. Requirements Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with no more than 3 points on a Full UK driving licence. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role. Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.<...
