HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER – SPARKBROOK, WEST MIDLANDS
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver – Days – Sparkbrook, West Midlands to join our well-established client based in Sparkbrook, West Midlands. This role would suit candidates who have experience as a Class 2 Driver, LGV Driver, or Multi-Drop HGV Driver . This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for progression.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday  • 06:00 starts
Rates of Pay
• £14.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Curtainside deliveries (no handball involved)  • Operating and driving HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently  • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections  • Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly  • Adhering to UK road traffic laws and transport regulations  • Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly  • Assisting with loading and unloading when required  • Completing a maximum of 5 drops per day
Essential Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Valid UK Category C (HGV Class 2) driving licence  • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles  • Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsements)  • Good level of spoken and written English  • Strong punctuality and time-keeping  • Good understanding of road safety and transport regulations  • Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
• Previous HGV Class 2 multi-drop delivery experience  • Experience driving other commercial vehicles
Training Provided
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout the assignment
