DRIVER CLASS 2 Mon - Friday 6.30am - Finish. With 25 days holiday P/a plus bank holidays.
Aalco Chepstow requires a driven and dynamic driver to take on this exciting and challenging opportunity. It is a demanding role that will reward the right candidate through hard work, determination and an outright commitment to our customers.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The person appointed will report to the Warehouse Manager and responsibilities include: -
* Ensure load is safe and secure and loaded in appropriate order for drops. * Carry out vehicle maintenance checks and ensure vehicle is roadworthy. * Always drive in a safe manner and adhere to current driving legislation * Make deliveries efficiently ensuring customers requirements are met and deal with any problems as they arise. * Work to systems and procedures so that material is off-loaded and distributed in the most efficient and cost effective way. * On completion of drops return to Service Centre as soon as possible to make yourself available for other work. * Work in a safe manner, always adhering to the Company Health and Safety Policy and Safe Working Practices. * Undertake all tasks with a ‘customer service’, ‘can do’ attitude and contribute to improving the performance of the business and the profit share pot.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
* HGV 2 licence and current CPC certification. CPC training can be provided if needed. * Able to work under your own initiative * Good communicator – confident, personable and presentable * Able to work to timescales and tight deadlines * Knowledge of handling and delivering metals is preferred
