About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team!
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring goods are delivered safely, on time, and in excellent condition, while providing a first-class customer experience at every delivery.
You'll play a key role in representing the business, leaving customers with a positive and professional impression.
This is a hands-on role involving multi-drop deliveries, vehicle checks, and supporting warehouse operations when required.
Key Responsibilities
Deliveries & Driving
Carry out local multi-drop deliveries in a safe and timely manner
Ensure all goods are securely loaded and transported to prevent damage
Drive in accordance with road safety laws, tachograph regulations, and driver hours
Complete daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle
Customer Service
Provide a professional and friendly service at all delivery points
Check goods with customers and obtain signatures on delivery
Handle any delivery issues effectively and escalate where necessary
Respect customer property and ensure safe delivery at all times
Warehouse & Team Support
Confirm orders are correct before leaving site
Support the Warehouse Lead and wider team when required
Assist with yard duties and general operational tasks
Health, Safety & Compliance
Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
Use equipment safely and report any hazards or incidents
Wear appropriate PPE and uniform at all times
Ensure compliance with quality, hygiene, and BRC standards
About You
We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
Essential Skills & Attributes
HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence is essential.
Strong customer service skills with a professional manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Flexible and adaptable approach to work
Strong communication skills
Desirable
Previous experience in a delivery driving or warehouse role
Knowledge of multi-drop delivery operations
