HGV Mechanic – Astley (Manchester)

Careermakers Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic on behalf of our client based in Astley. This is a great opportunity for a skilled mechanic looking for stable weekday work with competitive pay.

The Role

* Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGV vehicles

* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults

* Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance

* Ensuring vehicles are maintained to DVSA and road safety standards

* Keeping accurate maintenance records and reports

Shift Details

* Monday to Friday

* 10-hour shifts

* Working between 06:00 – 19:00

* Ongoing work available

Pay Rate

* £17.00 – £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Requirements

* Previous experience working as an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician

* Strong diagnostic and repair skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Relevant mechanical qualifications preferred but not essential

* Reliable and professional attitude
