HGV Technician

*Duties*
* Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on HGVs to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. * Perform equipment repair, including welding and electrical work as needed. * Assemble and disassemble vehicle components, ensuring all parts are functioning correctly. * Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks. * Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle. * Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair status. * Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the workshop environment. * Assist in training junior technicians or apprentices as required.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role within the automotive industry. * Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, electrical systems, assembly, and soldering. * Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. * Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately. * Strong customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
