HGV Technician/ Fitter - Fylde Coast
We are looking to recruit an HGV Fitter/Technician for a local Haulage Company
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Hourly rate is TOTALLY dependent on experience, qualifications and skill set and the hours can be flexible. Between £15 to £20 an hour.
Day shift, Monday to Friday, 40 to 45 a week contract, start / finish times to suit.
Role & Responsibilities
Perform minor and major repairs on lorries and trailers
Conduct preventative maintenance on all vehicles in a timely, efficient and cost-effective way
Inspections and MOT preparations
Maintain parts inventory
Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
Attend local breakdowns in surrounding areas if necessary
Maintain a safe working environment
Carry out additional tasks as requested by the Workshop Manager
Skills
Full driving licence - Class 1 would be an advantage although not essential
Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Fitter
Qualified HGV mechanic or qualified by experience
Good standard of verbal and written communication skills
Able to use initiative and work alone
Good understanding of the MOT test requirements and legislation
