Monday to Thursday / Tuesday to Friday Our client, a well-established and reputable commercial vehicle workshop, is seeking a talented HGV/Van Technicians / HGV Mechanics / HGV Fitter to join their team. The Job Diagnose, Repair and maintain a wide range of vehicles to DVSA standards always achieving a first-time fix. Prepare and present vehicles for their annual MOT tests, minimising failures to achieve a 100% pass rate. Attend vehicle breakdowns to effect repairs at roadside where possible. This will also be on a rota for out of hours coverage. Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Ensure all health and safety, environmental and recycling policies, plus all internal policies and procedures are adhered to. Ensure work areas are clean and tidy to comply with our company standards and manufacturer standards. Ensure all failed parts are returned to the relevant department. Carry out ad-hoc duties when required. About you Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter is essential. Must have own tools. Be apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics Hold a full UK driving licence /Class 1 or 2 licence desirable.
