Day Shift:

Monday to Friday, 05:00 - 14:00 Middle Shift:

Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00 Back Shift:

Monday to Friday, 11:00 - 20:00

Includes

Saturday morning : 06:00 - 10:00

Overtime (Saturday):

06:00 - 12:00 On?Call Rota:

1 in 3 weeks (additional payment for on call)

Paid after successful completion of a 3 month settling in period, recognising the valuable skills you bring to the role.

First Year OTE of circa £62,000

Comprised of base salary, expected overtime, annual bonus, and sign on bonus.

Annual Bonus - £2,000

Rewarding your contribution to fleet safety and operational performance.

Expected Overtime Earnings - circa £7,000

Regular overtime paid at

1.5x hourly rate , with potential to earn more depending on business requirements.

The Role

HGV Technicians play a critical role in keeping fleet operations safe, compliant, and reliable. You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of HGV vehicles, supporting drivers and ensuring vehicles remain roadworthy throughout the year, including during peak operational periods. This role offers the opportunity to join a supportive, team focused workshop environment, where collaboration, pride in workmanship, and safety are central to day to day operations.

Requirements

Essential

Qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

Time served or candidates with strong, proven industry experience will also be considered

Good knowledge of vehicle systems, trailers, plant, and workshop equipment Strong diagnostic skills with a safety first approach Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills

Desirable (Training Provided)

HGV Category C licence ADR certification

Training & Development

Structured in house training programmes (e.g. LPG Basics, Wheel Security, Basic Electrics) Specialist external training including IRTEC Inspection and ADR Support to gain

Category C and C+E (Class 1 & 2) licences Ongoing development in tank testing, confined space work, and product specific training Continued investment in quality tools to support safe and efficient working
