HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic — Wellingborough — £20 p/h (Flexible Shifts, Permanent)

Join a supportive, professional workshop in Wellingborough as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / LGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician. You’ll keep customer fleets safe, compliant and on the road with quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs—on flexible shifts with overtime and ongoing training (including BPW and LOLER).

The role — HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles
Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance (tyres, fluids, oil changes) to DVSA standards
Support workshop productivity, maintain inventory and a clean, safe environment
Work collaboratively with the repair team to plan and complete jobs on time
Accurately record all work, parts and compliance documentation
Provide roadside repair support when required
What you’ll bring

Level 3 HGV Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI) or equivalent
Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / LGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician
Ability to identify worn/faulty components to DVSA standards
Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes
A positive, safety‑first approach and strong problem‑solving skills

Rate: £20 per hour
