Location: Stowmarket, Suffolk

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum (Includes overtime)

Ray Goudy Trailer Repairs are currently looking for an HGV Trailer Technician (Skilled) to join our well-established team based in Stowmarket, Suffolk.

Covering the majority of East Anglia and pride ourselves on the quality and reliability of our services. As an HGV Trailer Technician your key responsibilities will include:

* Performing maintenance and repairs on HGV trailers
* Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
* Completing repair orders and maintaining accurate records of work performed
* Ensuring compliance with DVSA legislation

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The role includes an expected additional two hours per day, which will be paid at the applicable overtime rate. Standard working hours are 07:30-18:00.

About you:

You will ideally have previous experience as an HGV Trailer Technician or in a similar mechanical role, with a strong working knowledge of HGV trailers and their components.

You should be confident in diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults, a nd capable of carrying out physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy components. A methodical approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail are essential.

Strong communication and customer service skills are required, as you will be representing the company in a professional manner.

A full, valid driving licence and the ability to reliably commute to the Stowmarket area are essential.

Desirable Skills and Experience

* Welding and structural repair experience
* Knowledge of EBS/ABS braking systems
* HGV licence
