Stamford College is looking for a Lecturer in History to join our A Levels team and help shape the next generation of learners. This is a part time (15.5 hours per week), permanent role, working all year round. History Teacher

In this role, you will deliver engaging and effective teaching in A Level History, designing and developing course materials, schemes of work, and group profiles. You will provide academic tutorials, feedback, and guidance to support student progress and achievement, while embedding English, maths, and digital skills into learning activities. You will contribute to the promotion of courses and student recruitment, support work experience placements and employer engagement, and participate in quality assurance, self-assessment, and continuous improvement processes. Ensuring high standards of student behaviour and welfare, you will collaborate with colleagues to develop and review programmes and maintain a stimulating and supportive learning environment. Qualified teacher (or willing to work towards this within an agreed timeframe) Degree in a relevant subject Experience teaching A Level History in schools or colleges Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students Creativity and innovation in teaching strategies Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills Commitment to safeguarding, equality of opportunity, and student-centred learning Desirable: experience in Further Education or course coordination Why join us as a History Teacher
