Host / Hostess We are looking for a polished, confident and guest-focused Host / Hostess to join our front-of-house team. This is a key position within the venue. You are the first and last impression of The MAINE Mayfair. The Role As Host / Hostess, you control the flow of the floor and the tone of the welcome. You will manage reservations, oversee the seating plan, coordinate with the Restaurant Manager and floor team, and ensure every guest; whether VIP, regular or first-time visitor, feels genuinely welcomed and valued. This is not a passive desk role. It requires presence, awareness and authority. Key Responsibilities Deliver a warm, confident and polished welcome to every guest

Manage SevenRooms reservations, table allocation and guest notes

Coordinate walk-ins, wait times and table flow in real time

Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to optimise seating and service pace

Recognise and flag VIPs, regulars and special occasions

Maintain a professional and immaculate reception area at all times

Handle guest enquiries, complaints and service recovery calmly and efficiently

Support daily briefings and communicate guest intelligence to the team

What We Are Looking For Proven experience as a Host / Hostess in a luxury, high-volume London venue

Strong understanding of premium service standards and guest profiling

Confident communicator with excellent presence

Calm under pressure during peak service and entertainment nights

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Impeccable grooming and professional presentation

Naturally warm but able to command authority when required
