The Castle Green Hotel in Kendal is a four-star, 99-bedroom hotel with restaurant, bar, 6 conference rooms, 2 banqueting suites, pub on site, leisure club and treatment rooms.
*Job Overview*
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join our fabulous Kitchen team and be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.
*Contract & Hours*
* Permanent contract
* 45 hours per week
* £13.00 per hour (increase from 1 April)

*Ideal Candidate*
The ideal candidate will have:
* Passion for food
* Recognised professional cookery qualification or equivalent practical experience
* Experience of working in a high-volume, quality-focused kitchen environment
*Main Responsibilities*
* Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of an assigned kitchen section, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to the required standard
* Prepare, cook, and present food in line with recipes, portion controls, and hotel standards
* Support the senior chefs in delivering consistent, high-quality food across all services, including restaurant, banqueting, and events
* Assist with stock control, ordering, rotation, and minimising food waste within the section
* Ensure correct storage, labelling, and temperature control of food items
* Train, supervise, and support team members as required
* Work collaboratively with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth and efficient service
* Ensure all equipment within the section is used safely and reported for maintenance when required
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety
