Housing Support Worker Salary: £26,228 per year plus £73.89 sleep-in Full-time, onsite
Are you passionate about helping young people build brighter futures? We're looking for a compassionate and proactive Housing Support Worker to support young people aged 16-25, including care leavers, as they move towards independent living. This is not a care role-it's hands?on, practical and emotional support to help young people gain confidence, stability, and essential life skills.
What you'll do: * Support young people with developing independence skills, including budgeting, managing benefits, and navigating housing options. * Build trusting, non-judgmental relationships, providing stability and encouragement. * Bring your own interests-music, art, sports, or other passions-to connect and engage. * Work with colleagues and external partners to ensure each young person gets the right support. * Manage a caseload and keep clear, accurate records.
What we're looking for: * Someone who relates easily to young people, including those with experience of trauma, mental health challenges, or substance misuse. * Confidence engaging young people creatively and actively. * Strong communication and IT skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team. * Experience from youth work, housing, education, or similar roles (transferable skills welcome). * Knowledge of safeguarding or support planning is helpful but not essential.
What you'll get: * Up to 25 days' annual leave. * Flexible benefits including healthcare, dental and retail discounts. * 4x life assurance and up to 10% pension contribution. * Funded professional development and apprenticeships. * Two paid volunteering days each year. * Supportive, inclusive team culture.
