HR Administrator

Working closely with colleagues across the HR function and the wider business, you'll offer expert guidance on HR and payroll matters, ensuring our policies and processes are applied effectively. You'll manage accurate, timely payroll administration, act as a trusted first point of contact for HR queries, and support the entire employee lifecycle — from onboarding to offboarding — with a strong focus on compliance and service excellence. What will your day look like?
- Provide first-line HR support to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and handling general HR queries.
- Maintain accurate employee records in Oracle HMC, process new starters/leavers, run absence reports, manage pre-employment screening, and ensure correct salary, benefits, and holiday pay.
- Manage payroll processes by running and checking the monthly payroll interface, ensuring all data is correct before submission to the third-party provider.
- Handle high volumes of queries via HR mailboxes and phone lines, delivering timely, accurate responses within SLAs and escalating where necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement by reviewing and updating HR processes, maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring efficiency in service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, GDPR, SMCR checks, and PES processes, proactively addressing any risks or changes in legislation.
HR Administration & Systems: Proven experience in accurate and timely HR data management, ideally with Oracle; skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Stakeholder & Customer Service: Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills, including excellent telephone manner.
Process Improvement & Compliance: Experience driving continuous improvement, with awareness of financial services regulations, GDPR, and ability to follow specific regulatory processes.
Data & Reporting: Skilled in data gathering, interpretation, and producing insights to support decision-making.
Organisation & Delivery: Exceptional time management, ability to prioritise multiple tasks, meet strict deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Communication & Teamwork: Excellent written and verbal communication; proactive, solution-focused, and confident working independently or collaboratively.
