This is a hands-on role where youll oversee complex employee relations matters, support casework advisors, and ensure high-quality, consistent HR advice across a range of sensitive issues.
The Role Manage complex and sensitive HR casework including disciplinary, grievance, sickness, performance, and whistleblowing matters
Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to a team of casework advisors
Support and advise at formal hearings and appeals
Ensure consistent application of employment law, policies, and procedures
Review and improve casework processes to drive efficiency and service quality
Work closely with senior stakeholders, trade unions, and external partners
Contribute to service improvement, policy development, and performance management
What Were Looking For Strong generalist HR background with significant experience in complex case management
Proven experience supporting formal hearings and advising panels
Confident managing or mentoring HR teams in a fast-paced environment
Solid knowledge of UK employment law and xehkeey its practical application
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and sound judgement
