Job DescriptionJob Description
HR Operations Manager: People, Purpose & Performance
Welcome to our team!
Are you a dedicated HR professional who loves to dive into the details? Do you pride yourself on being "Hungry, Humble, and Smart" ? We are a fast-scaling business looking for an HR Operations Manager who doesn’t just manage programs but truly cares about the people behind the paperwork. In this role, you aren’t just a "cog in the machine"—you are the engine that keeps our community compliant, supported, and thriving in the 2026 federal contracting landscape.
Our Ideal Candidate
Hungry: You have a bias for action. You don't wait to be told what to do; you see a need—whether it’s a process that needs streamlining or a teammate who needs support—and you jump in to help.
Humble: You are a "low ego, high impact" player. You are happy to roll up your sleeves for the "heavy lifting" of compliance and administration because you know that a strong foundation allows our whole team to succeed.
Smart: You have high emotional intelligence (EQ). You know how to communicate complex federal regulations with a human touch, and you use technology (like AI) to work efficiently without losing the personal connection.
Your Impact (Key Responsibilities)
1. Nurturing Talent & Tactical Delivery
Heartfelt Onboarding: You’ll help build the end-to-end onboarding experience, ensuring new hires feel like part of the family from day one. You’ll manage the "must-haves" (I-9s and security briefings) while building out our Mentor Program to ensure every new starter has a coach and guide.
Manager Enablement: Be a supportive coach for our supervisors. You’ll deliver "HR Basics" training, teaching our team how to lead with empathy while staying compliant with 2026 labor laws, DCAA timekeeping, and FMLA.
Recruitment with Soul: Help us find "our people." You’ll help define recruitment processes that target technical talent who share our values, ensuring every Position Description (PD) is both audit-ready and culturally inviting.
2. Compliance with Integrity
The Compliance Guardian: You’ll ensure we meet 100% of our 2026 obligations (OFCCP, FLSA, VETS-4212) not just because it’s required, but because we believe in doing things the right way.
Security & Data Privacy: As we handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), you will be the trusted steward of our team's data, adhering to NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 3 standards with meticulous care.
Audit Readiness: You’ll maintain digital systems that are so organized and transparent they make 2026 federal audits feel like a breeze.
3. AI-Enhanced Efficiency (Human-in-the-Loop)
Smart Automation: We want you focused on people, not repetitive typing. You will use AI tools to draft communications and triage resumes, always applying your "human touch" to ensure every output is fair, warm, and compliant.
Continuous Learning: You’ll use AI to keep our training materials fresh and engaging, staying ahead of evolving FAR and DFARS regulations.
4. Employee Support & Engagement
Culture Catalyst: You’ll be the first point of contact for daily employee needs. Whether it's a benefits question or a workplace suggestion, you’ll handle it with the warmth and urgency our team deserves.
Benefits Advocacy: You’ll support the logistics of open enrollment, vendor coordination and implementation of new benefits, acting as a true advocate for our employees' health and well-being.
What You Bring to the Table
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on HR experience, with at least 2 years in a GovCon or Manufacturing environment. You know the "ropes" of the 2026 regulatory environment.
Aptitude: You are comfortable with generative AI tools and know how to use them ethically to drive efficiency. You understand and ensure our data security requirements.
Communication: You write with clarity and speak with kindness. You can draft an audit-ready document and a warm company-wide announcement with equal skill.
The Trifecta: You naturally embody the Hungry, Humble, and Smart mindset in everything you do.
Why Join Us?
We are a team that values the "heavy lifters." If you are looking for a place where your hard work is seen, your humility is valued, and your intelligence is used to build something great, we can’t wait to meet you.
