This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 1-4 years' relevant experience who is eager to develop their career in human factors and usability engineering. You'll play a hands-on role in delivering impactful projects that directly influence the safety and effectiveness of medical devices, while benefiting from structured support, mentorship, and clear progression pathways. The Role Human Factors ConsultantSupport the planning, execution, and reporting of formative and summative usability studiesDevelop study protocols, discussion guides, and supporting documentationModerate usability testing sessions with users in line with study requirementsConduct task analyses and contribute to use-related risk assessmentsCollect, analyse, and interpret qualitative and quantitative research dataIdentify use errors, root causes, and trends to inform design improvementsProduce high-quality technical reports and client-ready deliverablesCreate engaging presentations and support delivery of findings to clientsApply best practices in research ethics, consent, and data privacyContribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects within timelines and budgetsManage your own workload effectively across concurrent assignmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholdersMaintain awareness of regulatory requirements and industry standards Team & DevelopmentWork within a supportive and collaborative team environmentContribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiativesTake advantage of mentoring and structured development opportunitiesDemonstrate ambition and a clear desire to progress and earn promotion About YouDegree (or higher) in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or a related field1-4 years of relevant industry experience (medical devices or regulated environments preferred)Understanding of the product development lifecycleStrong analytical skills and excellent attention to detailAbility to interpret and communicate complex data clearlyConfident written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisational and time management abilitiesA proactive mindset with a desire to learn, grow, and progress your careerWillingness to travel when requiredIf you're looking to build your career in human factors within a consultancy that values growth, development, and impactful work, this could be the ideal next step in your career, please get in touch to talk it through with an HF Specialist Recruiter.
