Human Resources Business Partner/People Manager
We are seeking a People Manager at Oasis Community Learning. The role is part of our People and Culture function, supporting four academies in Croydon. The position is hybrid, with 3 days a week onsite in academies, and 37 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
Act as strategic partner to Principals and Department leads across four academies.
Deliver support on a wide range of people challenges through coaching and proactive approaches to HR/people problems.
Serve as first point of contact for ER matters and drive people‑focused projects.
Embed change, influence leaders, and collaborate with specialist teams on ER & recruitment.
Qualifications
Strong HR generalist background with experience in education or a sector with transferable skills.
Positive attitude, ability to embed change, and experience delivering people‑focused projects.
Experience as first point of contact for ER matters and ability to influence leaders.
Experience in an unionised environment is beneficial.
About the role
Permanent opportunity. Salary £53,172 – £57,402. Head office in London Waterloo, supporting academies across Croydon. 37 hours a week with support outside normal hours for critical incidents. Benefits include professional development, health & dental cover, discounts, pension contribution of up to 20% of salary. Holiday year 1st September – 31st August with pro‑rated holiday entitlement.
