\nCivil Liberties & Human Rights Solicitor — Position Overview:

\n
\nYou’ll manage and progress a compelling caseload covering police misconduct, inquests, HRA claims and public law challenges — working closely with passionate specialists and supporting junior team members as needed.
\n
\nKey Responsibilities of the Human Rights Solicitor:
\n
- \n\t
- Act on Actions Against the Police, misconduct, and unlawful detention matters \n\t
- Represent families at inquests \n\t
- Handle Human Rights Act damages claims \n\t
- Conduct Judicial Review challenges against public authorities \n\t
- Advise clients clearly and sensitively throughout complex matters \n\t
- Attend hearings, conferences, and negotiate outcomes \n\t
- Maintain compliance and accurate case recording \n\t
- Participate in marketing, networking, and legal updates \n
\n\n
\nRequirements of the Human Rights Solicitor:

\n\n
\n\n

- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales \n\t
- 5+ years PQE in one or more:\n\t
- \n\t\t
- Actions Against the Police \n\t\t
- Inquests \n\t\t
- Human Rights Act litigation \n\t\t
- Judicial Review \n\t
\n\t - Strong advocacy and client-care skills \n\t
- Ability to manage sensitive cases independently \n\t
- Confident communicator with excellent drafting skills \n\t
- Organised, proactive, and passionate about access to justice \n
