Turner Lovell is seeking experienced
HV Fitters
to deliver HV installation works across major renewable energy and energy infrastructure projects in the UK. These positions offer long-term involvement with high profile projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities Install and assemble HV switchgear, transformers, busbars, and ancillary equipment. Assist with installation of control and protection systems. Carry out preventative maintenance and fault-finding on HV equipment. Work closely with HV Wiremen and site teams to deliver installation milestones. Ensure all works comply with HSEQ standards, site procedures, and statutory regulations. Support commissioning activities and provide technical feedback to Site Supervisors. Maintain accurate installation records and progress updates. Candidate Requirements Proven experience as an HV Fitter on UK HV projects (renewable energy, substations, or grid infrastructure). Relevant authorisations (e.g.,
National Grid, SSE, SPEN, UKPN, ENW, NPG ) or willing to obtain. Strong knowledge of HV installation, testing, and commissioning practices. Awareness of CDM regulations and site safety procedures. CSCS card and other relevant site safety certifications. Ability to travel and work across multiple UK sites. Effective teamwork and communication skills.
