Role Overview - Hygiene Manager

A well-established food manufacturing business is looking to add a Hygiene Manager to its team at a busy, high-output site. This Hygiene Manager role is responsible for leading the night hygiene operation, ensuring cleaning standards are consistently met, and maintaining a factory environment that meets strict food safety and audit requirements.

The Hygiene Manager will work closely with production, technical, and engineering teams to ensure the site is cleaned effectively and ready for production each day. This is ideal for an experienced hygiene manager who understands the importance of hygiene standards in food manufacturing and can lead a team to deliver them consistently.

Responsibilities for the Hygiene Manager

Lead and manage the night hygiene team to deliver high cleaning standards across the factory
Ensure all hygiene activities meet food safety, compliance, and audit requirements
Carry out hygiene inspections and audits across production areas
Work closely with technical and production teams to resolve hygiene-related issues
Identify opportunities to improve cleaning processes and overall hygiene standards
Ensure all hygiene documentation and records are completed accurately

Requirements for the Hygiene Manager

Experience within a hygiene leadership role in food manufacturing or FMCG
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and audit requirements
Experience managing teams within a fast-paced production environment
A proactive approach to maintaining high standards across the site
