Import Transport Coordinator

Our client is a well known and respected Shipping Line based in Central London and is seeking an experienced Import Transport Coordinator. You will be working as part of a small team within a larger Deep Sea department and the post can be demanding but satisfying with a lot of immediate deadlines amd customer requirements. The main duties:
Dealing with quotes/bookings/queries on Cross Trades business
Issuing Quotes and follow ups made for Containers, Break Bulk (Commodity Trades, Timber FOT rates) and RoRo.
Process bookings via telephone and e-mail, from UK customers/Traders and Local Line POL Agents
Confirm booking details back to the customer, informing them of special requirements or restrictions, ensuring Credit worthiness.
Entering Bills of Lading details and adding where needed manifests details into the company's bespoke system
Dealing with COD, Switch Bills, Indemnities for cargo release.
Processing and adding all transport data for container deliveries.
Processing PIN and Badge releases in Destin8
Client liaison and liaising with Port and Port offices.
Must have good verbal, written, communication and organisation skills. Also to be computer literate, presentable, adaptable and outgoing, with a vibrant and friendly personality. Must also be able to remain calm under pressure.
