Infrastructure Project Manager\n\nInfrastructure Programme\nLocation: North West England / Hybrid\nSalary: Negotiable, competitive benefits package\nRole overview\n\nAn opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a leading infrastructure organisation, supporting an exciting and high-profile infrastructure programme.\n\nThe role will suit a Project Manager with experience in project governance, programme management, and project controls within complex infrastructure or construction-led environments. Operating within a client-side managed services setting, the role focuses on governance, assurance, and coordination across multiple delivery partners throughout design, construction, and transition into operations.\n\nWhat this role offers\n\nInvolvement in a nationally significant infrastructure programme\nLong-term project exposure with strong pipeline visibility\nClient-side perspective within a professional managed services environment\nOpportunity to work alongside experienced technical, commercial, and financial teams\nKey responsibilities\n\nProject governance and assurance\n\nSupport the operation of project governance frameworks across a complex, multi-party delivery environment\nMonitor compliance with contractual, programme, and reporting requirements\nSupport risk, issue, and change control processes\nProgramme oversight\n\nReview and challenge delivery partner programmes, progress reports, and key milestones\nTrack performance across schedule, cost, quality, health and safety, and environmental metrics\nSupport elements of project controls, including schedule, cost, risk, and performance reporti\nCommercial and contract support\n\nAssist with contract administration, including change management and early warning processes\nSupport cost monitoring, forecasting, and payment processes\nLiaise with commercial and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting\nStakeholder coordination\n\nAct as an interface between delivery partners, advisers, and internal stakeholders\nSupport structured communication and governance forums\nPrepare briefing notes, dashboards, and reports for senior stakeholders\nRisk, compliance, and reporting\n\nMaintain project risk and opportunity registers\nSupport regulatory, ESG, and sustainability reporting requirements\nContribute to continuous improvement of governance and reporting processes\nSkills and experience\n\nEssential\n\nDemonstrable project management and programme management experience within complex infrastructure or construction-led environments\nExperience working client-side, consultancy-side, or in an oversight or assurance capacity\nAbility to manage governance, risk, change control, and reporting across multiple stakeholders\nDesirable\n\nConstruction or engineering background enabling effective challenge of delivery programmes\nChartered status (APM, RICS, ICE or equivalent) or working towards chartership is desirable but not essential.\nExperience working alongside contractors and designers on major projects\nExposure to regulated infrastructure or long-term concession models\nExperience within water, utilities, transport, or linear infrastructure\nUnderstanding of whole-life asset management considerations\nPersonal attributes\n\nStructured and detail focused\nComfortable operating without direct line authority\nCommercially aware\nConfident in challenging delivery partners constructively\nCalm and credible with senior stakeholders
