Interim Estates Operations Manager (Band 8a) Location: West Midlands Rate: £200-£240 per day Umbrella Inside IR35 An NHS organisation in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Interim Estates Operations Manager to lead the delivery of operational estates services across a large acute site. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant and high-performing healthcare environment, managing both in-house teams and external contractors. Key Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day operational management of estates maintenance services across buildings, engineering systems and grounds Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, HTMs and H&S regulations Manage planned and reactive maintenance programmes to deliver a safe and efficient patient environment Oversee estates contracts, procurement activity and contractor performance Take responsibility for delegated budgets, driving value for money and efficiency improvements Lead, develop and performance manage estates teams, fostering a strong and collaborative culture Act as Authorised Person (or work towards) across key disciplines such as water safety, medical gases, ventilation or electrical systems Support business continuity planning and respond to operational incidents as required, including participation in on-call
