Interim Financial Controller | High‑Growth Consumer Brand | 3–6 Month Contract | ASAP Start | Hybrid (HQ Visits Required)

JasperRose are partnering with a rapidly scaling consumer brand in the lifestyle space. The business is experiencing strong growth and is looking for an Interim Financial Controller to support the incoming CFO and existing FC across reporting, compliance and process improvement as they strengthen their finance foundations.

You’ll have a hands‑on role in stabilising reporting, tightening controls and mapping the processes required for a cleaner year‑end.

The role offers hybrid working with regular visits to the company’s HQ outside of London, with flexibility around how often you’re onsite.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Month-End & Reporting

• Supporting the FC with month‑end reporting, analysis and close activities
• Implementing improvements to speed up and strengthen the month‑end process
• Designing a more structured and reliable reporting cadence

Year‑End & Audit Preparation

• Supporting preparation of the year‑end audit file
• Leading stock‑related reconciliations ahead of audit
• Ensuring the business is fully audit‑ready under tight timeframes

VAT & Compliance

• Leading historic VAT registration across multiple European jurisdictions
• Compiling, auditing and submitting VAT data with external partners
• Reviewing VAT balances and ensuring data integrity
• Mapping VAT processes, identifying weaknesses and implementing improvements
• Supporting compliance work across subsidiaries (corporation tax, payroll tax)

Process Mapping & Improvements

• Mapping sales and stock operational processes to ensure compliant revenue and stock recognition
• Providing recommendations to improve stock reconciliation and COGS processes
• Reviewing finance processes to reduce close timelines and remove blockers

Project & Commercial Support

• Assisting with current transformation projects
• Supporting cashflow and working capital analysis as required

The Successful Candidate:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA
• Experience in DTC, consumer goods or fast‑growth stock‑led businesses
• Strong technical accounting background (month‑end, year‑end, audit, stat accounts)
• Demonstrable experience in process mapping and improvement
• Strong compliance exposure, ideally with European VAT
• Hands‑on, proactive and comfortable operating with imperfect information
• Able to work at pace while establishing clarity, control and structure
