Contract Management Accountant - 6 Months - Manufacturing

A leading manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join on an initial 6‑month contract. This role will provide hands-on financial support during a period of transition, helping strengthen reporting processes and support the wider finance team.

The Role

This is a hands‑on position suited to someone who can hit the ground running, support the month-end process, and partner with operational teams. While manufacturing experience is preferred it is not essential.

Key responsibilities include:

Monthly reporting and management accounts preparation Elements of business partnering with production and engineering teams Supporting weekly P&L reporting and cashflow forecasting Helping implement and improve financial processes and procedures Supporting continuous improvement, particularly around an older SAP system Assisting the team in embedding new ways of working and driving efficiencyYou'll work closely with senior finance stakeholders, including the Finance Director.

About You

Qualification is not essential - experience is what matters Strong month‑end and reporting experience Manufacturing experience desirable but not essential Ability to work proactively and independently in a hands‑on environment Comfortable with process improvement and working with legacy systems Strong communicator and team player

What's on Offer

£55,000 - £65,000 (equivalent for the contract duration) 6-month contract with potential to add real value quickly 37‑hour week with early finish on Fridays (leave at 12pm) On‑site role with some flexibility available Supportive environment with modern facilities and free parking
