Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Interim Registered Manager to provide steady, confident leadership for a small, well-established residential care home in the Cumbria area. This is a vital short-term role, ideal for someone who can quickly build trust, maintain high standards, and ensure seamless operational continuity.


The Role

You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, person-centred, high-quality care. Key priorities include:

  • Providing strong, visible leadership to staff and promoting a positive culture

  • Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality standards

  • Overseeing care planning, safeguarding, and risk management

  • Maintaining excellent communication with residents, families, and external partners

  • Supporting the team through a period of transition and ensuring stability

  • Driving continuous improvement and ensuring best practice is upheld


About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Interim Manager in adult social care

  • Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory frameworks

  • A calm, confident approach with the ability to step in quickly and lead effectively

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

  • A commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care

  • Rate: Competitive day rate (DOE)
