Job Title: Senior Finance Business Partner Location: Close to Bristol (Hybrid working) Reporting to: Commercial Finance Director Sector: Private Equity–backed Role Overview We are seeking a commercially astute Senior Finance Business Partner to play a pivotal role in driving financial performance within a growing mid-cap, private-equity-backed organisation based near Bristol. Operating at a senior level, you will act as a trusted advisor to executive and operational leadership, translating financial insight into clear, actionable commercial decisions. This role is central to supporting growth initiatives, operational efficiency, and strategic planning in a fast-paced, results-driven PE environment. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Commercial Partnering

Partner senior operational and functional leaders to drive performance, profitability, and cash generation Provide robust financial insight, challenge assumptions, and influence decision-making at leadership level Support strategic initiatives including growth investments, pricing, cost optimisation, and transformation programmes

Financial Performance & Analysis

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for assigned business areas Deliver high-quality management reporting with clear commentary and variance analysis Develop and maintain financial models to support business cases, investment decisions, and scenario planning

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Act as a senior finance representative within the business, building credibility and trust across all levels Coach and develop junior finance business partners and analysts where applicable Collaborate closely with central finance, FP&A, and operational teams

Governance & Control

Ensure accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making Support audit processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and systems

Candidate Profile

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Significant experience in a senior finance business partnering role within a large, complex organisation Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders Experience operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment (private equity experience highly desirable)
