The opportunity: We are seeking a fixed-term VP of People to join Cleo for 12 months to lead and grow our People team to cover while our Head of People goes on maternity leave and while we hire for our next CPeO - overseeing Cleo's talent acquisition, people partnering, workplace experience and people ops teams with support from our CEO and Chief of Staff. Your team will soon be 20+ people strong across the U.K with room to grow more in the future. Reporting to the CEO and founder, whoever comes to this role should be data-driven and have a keen eye for improvement, acting as both coach and consultant across the business to develop and promote a comprehensive People strategy. What youll be working on: Embedding our people strategy and vision that supports a high-performance culture, while ensuring Cleo is set up for scale in the future Working with our Head of Talent on talent acquisition strategy, employer branding, talent pipelining, and hiring processes Leading talent management and development, including engagement, reward & recognition, and learning initiatives Overseeing People Operations, managing employee benefits, payroll, and data for effective leadership Leading and coaching a team of People leaders, driving performance and accountability Using people data to inform development and future planning Fostering a positive work environment and managing organizational change effectively Apply If Experience leading a high-performing People & Talent team, ideally scaling from 200-500+ employees, with some international experience Proven success in building tech-focused employer brands and attracting top talent Experience managing Employee Relations in the UK and internationally (preferably US) Strong stakeholder management, attention to detail, data literacy, and analytical skills High emotional intelligence, empathy, and ability to build relationships Passion for People topics, startups, and industry trends What do you get for all your hard work?
