Role & Responsibilities

Engage with clients and end users to define design briefs and specific project requirements Undertake site feasibility assessments to understand spatial constraints and opportunities Produce mood boards, schematic designs and detailed 2D/3D layouts Apply inclusive and universal design principles across all schemes Ensure compliance with UK building regulations including fire safety and Health & Safety standards Coordinate with project managers, suppliers and consultants on M&E, plumbing and life safety systems Specify materials, furniture, fixtures and finishes appropriate to budget and brief Prepare cost estimates in line with project timelines and budgets Liaise with procurement, contractors and suppliers throughout delivery Oversee installations and attend final walkthroughs to resolve defects Maintain a current design portfolio and awareness of best practice, trends and innovation.

Required Skills & Experience

Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline Strong creative and spatial design capability with attention to detail Sound knowledge of accessibility, inclusion and UK building regulations Experience producing technical drawings and presentation materials Working knowledge of Vectorworks is essential Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with multiple stakeholders Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines Organised, solution-focused and commercially aware Right to work in the UK.
